“Fissures”

This whale is one of the first of the series and pretty much epitomizes the concept of a species in trouble.

It’s ceramic with a metal coating made from a gypsum, ploymer, and metal dust mixture. I have enjoyed the company of “Fissures” in and around my studio for the past couple years and I’ve been proud to show it in a couple nice gallery shows …but I’m hoping to find a new home for this one. I’ve got this one priced at $1,800. I’m happy to cut a deal for purchase of more than one item. If you are close enough to Portland (within a few hours drive) I’m happy to deliver and install it myself. It hangs on a simple J-hook that I provide.
